When sending attachments with Microsoft Outlook, there is a special type of Outlook ‘Timeout’ that protects the information sent from Outlook. If you open a link in an email and the second page is blocked, the Outlook ‘timeout’ message appears saying that the page could not be found. In Windows Vista, an additional application called ‘SmartScreen’ is available to help protect Windows users from malicious websites. The »Timeout’ can only be used for Outlook on Windows. With Outlook, if you send a file containing an image or video, the file can be saved as a PDF. This can be done by right-clicking the attachment or file and choosing ‘Save As’ This option also allows you to specify whether the attachment should be saved as a PDF or should instead be converted to an image. Use this option to your advantage.
