For many, the Activation Issue Action Packs (IIAAP) is the one software that they cannot live without. With this software, you can install updates and update them at anytime without spending any money. However, after installing it, it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do anymore and continues to get stuck. Since there is no indication on your screen that it’s installing updates, how will you know what is going on? In this article, we will discuss how to fix the IIAAP error.

After having the Error Message « MSIEEXEC.DLL is missing from your computer », the first thing that you need to do is to start Microsoft Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET). After pressing OK, a registry cleaner window will appear on your screen. Click the « Start » button and choose the option « Run ». The command line tool is typically placed in the C:Program FilesMicrosoft Configuration ManagerDynDist.exe folder. You may also run the tool with the command line by typing the following in your command prompt window:

Once you have done that, if you see the Microsoft Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit, MSIEEXEC.DLL is missing from your computer, then the Activation Issue Action Pack (IAAP) error is not likely the problem. The next thing you need to do is to uninstall the Microsoft Activation Server (MSAS). This tool is not as easy to uninstall as it sounds because there are so many hidden files and registry keys. After uninstalling it, try running the Windows Update Utility again. It should still show the Microsoft Activation Server registry entry which shows that the Microsoft Activation Server has been disabled. As an alternative, you can also restart your computer and run Windows Repair to reinstall the Microsoft Activation Server. If that still doesn’t work, then your computer is most likely infected with malware and you need to use a professional antivirus software that can effectively remove all the malware programs and files that have been installed on your system.
