After installation, it may take several minutes to obtain the Administrator Permissions. But they can also be acquired later on. After you install the Support Tools on your computer, the new section called « Windows Deployment Services » will appear in the control panel. Click on this new section and then on the tab that says « Startup. It will take few seconds to display the list of items available. Then select the software that you want to install and then click on the « Install » button.
The « Applications » window that appears after the application deployment process will be displayed once the new portion has been deployed. Once again, select the Software Update item. You will now see a list of available updates for the latest versions of Windows on your system. Note that if there are updates for the non-core components available, the number of available updates will be lower than the number of updates available for the core Windows components. If you have not installed or upgraded any hardware or driver, you can also use this window to select the updates available for the latest versions of hardware and drivers.
There is also another maintenance window available. This will help you to perform scheduled tasks that you need to perform periodically like removing any leftover files that you may have. And there is also an option for ‘Run As Administrator’. This will allow you to install, remove and restart any Windows application even if you do not have Administrator Permissions to do so. So, if you want to run your Windows updates and applications on a regular basis, you can always run these options.
