We often hear from the User that they are unable to download the latest updates and are unable to restore the operating system of their laptop, even after many attempts to use a computer with the help of a PC. There are several reasons why the Software has stopped working or is not installing. The most common reason being the usage of the Windows Update feature of the System Setup. When you first install the software, it will try to detect the updates of the required programs. If it detects the updates, it will restart itself after a few minutes and will try to check for newer updates on its own. It might then stop and tell you to update again.
This could be caused by an issue with the computer or just a simple software issue, where the developer used to run the update manually but did not update the application. With newer versions of Windows this problem can be avoided by using the Start Menu – Options -> Control Panel – Add / Remove Programs and removing all applications with the same name as the one you are trying to remove. You might have also installed several programs at the same time on your PC. A side effect of using this method is that the application will be completely removed and the data stored in it will be deleted.
If this is happening to you then you need to find out the reason why these computer errors are occurring and if possible try to eliminate any of the causes such as viruses, malware or registry file errors. If you have done this then you might still find the update not installing on the Windows Update function, which will cause the software to restart again. It will run itself in a few minutes and will hopefully install the updates, but if not then you can use another method for Windows Operating System Restore.
