How to perform Importing ICS Files Into Calendar on Microsoft Windows?

Microsoft introduced support for Microsoft Office (MS-Office) in the Windows operating system. Since then, there have been several efforts to import or convert MS-Office files to new formats (exporting to newer formats is possible, but it is not recommended for non-professional users). However, there are many instances when a computer with an older version of Windows XP cannot run MS-Office applications. This is because the current version of Windows doesn’t support file conversions for these programs (you can try the conversion by downloading a special converter, but this is not as efficient as doing it by hand).

The most common reason why users don’t want to convert their MS-Office files to a new format is because of compatibility. Converting your documents from MS-Office to a newer format like Word 2020, Excel 2020, PowerPoint 2020, or Access 2020 will allow you to use other programs which are natively compatible with those formats. On the other hand, converting your files will also cause some problems when dealing with system files, such as the registry. It’s highly recommended that you import or export your MS-Office files in a version of Windows which is known to be compatible with MS-Office files. For example, if you want to run MS-Office and Excel on the same computer, you have to use Windows XP.

In addition, exporting documents in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint in a version of Windows older than XP can cause conflicts with different versions of MS-Office. Of course, many computers do have a version of Windows which is compatible with MS-Office, but the user might still want to use other programs to open and edit their MS-Office files. This is why this form of import/export is useful for people who own MS-Office software such as Access, Office, Publisher, Access 2020, Excel 2020, or Windows Explorer 2020. For example, if you own Microsoft Access 2020, you may want to use Microsoft Access 2020 to open and edit your MS-Office files. On the other hand, you can use the conversion feature of a specific program (such as the free Microsoft Access Free Converter) to convert the MS-Office files into their newer formats.
