Two weeks ago I came across an interesting bug in Windows Live Messenger that had started showing up users on a lot of computers (usually after installing a popular freeware application or replacing the Windows operating system) but nothing I could do about. After an hour of searching I ran into a blog post entitled, Installing Windows Live Messenger Problem Hr 0X8104000D on MSN Windows Vista Guest Mode. This article explained exactly how to fix this issue by using a « GUEST MODE » command from a command prompt. Apparently the Internet Explorer code that is used to run chat windows has been altered by Microsoft and now says » » instead of » » which is what the Microsoft Windows Live Messenger chat windows were behaving as before. (And while it may be the fact that your computer didn’t use the correct Java interpreter, there is also no such thing as a guaranteed program to fix this particular bug).
