If you are in the habit of using your computer more than you use it, and yet have not saved back up your files, then you could be in danger of losing a large number of Restore Points. Restore Points are important parts of Windows. They hold your most recent settings and data so that you can return to them at any time should you wish to do so. When you restore, Windows will put your changes back into a way that makes them as close to the way they were as possible. However, if you aren’t backing up your system files regularly, you could end up losing all of the information that you have stored on them.
The biggest part of Windows is the registry. This is a database that stores the settings and files for all of the software that you have installed on your PC. It’s used by the operating system to determine how to access each of the software files, and it is extremely important, and so Windows has taken steps to make sure that this database is well maintained and accurate.
However, when you are using Windows, this database gets corrupted, and the errors build up and cause problems. The registry is made up of hundreds of millions of entries. This means that if the Windows registry becomes corrupt or damaged, it could cause Windows to make incorrect entries, making it impossible to repair any of the errors that it has. In order to restore your system back to a normal state, you will need to make sure that you back up all of your system files, then restore them to their previous states.
