There are people who know the problem with the Windows Live Mail Autocomplete feature. Many of them believe that Microsoft or someone is abusing this technology to fool the common people and have them using e-mail services that are not best for them. Well, that is the speculation but even I have some doubts about this issue.
The problem with the Windows Live Mail Autocomplete feature has been known for many years. However, some of the regular users do not know that what it is and why they have to live with it. If they know that this can be removed by removing the virus that locks it up from running again then they are not happy at all. The hackers have no respect for human beings and they want only their money as the reasons behind their actions.
Now, Microsoft has made a statement and it is in a form of security report that shows that they do not condone the usage of the autocomplete feature. The word fraud is also mentioned in the report because these hackers are out to fraud other people and have them believe that they are getting better products by using these e-mail services. They get people to click on those links and go to the website of their choice without looking at the details of the product and without knowledge of what they are getting. Some of them have also cheated people by tricking them into giving them their banking information that later they would be hard to trace back to. So, now that the Microsoft is taking this matter seriously; do you think they will allow other software to bypass the autocomplete feature in Outlook?
