The Windows Live Sign Service is a program which allows people to log on to their Microsoft accounts online. There are two ways to use this service. Firstly, you can use it yourself and sign in with your Microsoft username and password, or you can download it to your PC so that anyone else can sign in with it. When you download the software onto your PC, you will be asked to install the software. Make sure that you read the instructions carefully and follow them as they are written. This means you will not get the message ‘Access denied’ but you will have installed the program properly. Once you have installed the program, you should then try to log in by using your Microsoft username and password.

When you download the software, you will also be given the option of getting a trial version of the software which is free. This way you can check out whether or not the service is going to be suitable for you before you pay for it. The downside of the Windows Live Sign Service is that if someone steals your Microsoft password then it will not help you recover it. They will only be able to use your old password. If you want to recover your old password then you will need to use the system restore facility in your Windows XP or Vista operating system.

When you first sign up for the Windows Live Sign Service you will get one year’s free membership. If you then decide that it is not for you then you can cancel your membership at any time and remove yourself from the list. If you cancel your membership you will no longer be able to receive any new mail and you will no longer be able to send or receive any new messages. However, you will still be able to use your email address and still be able to access your profile information.
