Error reports have been coming in that Windows Update Xp (WWXplorer) is stuck on the « Checking for Updates… » process. It will hang and display the message: « This program requires an update to be able to complete your request. You might need to restart your computer to fix this problem. » When it hangs the taskbar remains active with the application selected and the taskbar stays on top of the screen while the application is not responding. The following are some of the common symptoms:
